The Hinckley Park Clean-up with the South Portland Land Trust will be on May 7 from 9-12. Today it was too wet and cold to clean at Hinckley and postponing until May 7 will get us back on our regular First Saturday of the Month Clean-up Schedule.
So come on Saturday, May 7 between 9-12 and the first 25 people can have a coupon for a free drip or iced coffee at Scratch Bakery, the first eight people will receive a free Orbee Ball from Planet Dog and we will have a raffle for SoPoDOG T-Shirts!
You can also become a SoPoDOG Member at the event or online now at http://www.sopodog.com/.
Come on over!

Possible rain in the forecast for Earth Day Clean-up
April showers bring May flowers, but the showers that are possible on Saturday may delay the Earth Day event.
If there is rain on Saturday, April 23 the cleanup will be on April 30th. If you aren't sure if it's postponed check this blog or check your facebook messages and we will let you know the details!
Remember - free stuff, a raffle and trash! What a combo!
thanks a lot!

Bring Your Own Bag, and one for another dog walker!
The city has officially released the information that there will no longer be bags for dog waste available in the dispensers anywhere in the city.
What this means is we will be going through a transition period - breaking dependence from city supplied bags - everyone will need to bring their own bags when they walk in the parks and at Willard Beach.
Please help us by bringing spare bags and stuffing empty dispensers with them, but also carry spare bags with you at all times. Offer them to another dog walker in need. Get bags donated from your friends and neighbors.
People who get their newspaper delivered to their homes get EVERY NEWSPAPER IN A BAG whether or not it is raining or sunny. Single use bags are a horrible waste of energy and a burden on the environment, so let's give them a second use!
SoPoDOG will be working on some kind of a "bring one take one" program with the city - we will keep you informed!
